Can Your Business Handle A Significant Increase In Web Traffic?
When you are running a business, whether large or small, the internet is a great tool for advertising, and bringing in new customers. Many business use SEO management to optimize their web sites, increasing the chances that customers will find the site when they are using a search engine, but if too many customers find the web site it may have a negative impact.
As you begin your online advertising campaign, you must keep in mind what is working and what does not, keeping a careful eye on your results and not allowing your internet growth to grow beyond the limits and capabilities of your business itself. Since many new business owners struggle to get attention on the web, once they are able to do so, it becomes almost addicting and they become so excited about the results that they just want more and more people to view their site.
When it comes to advertising, there are many business owners who believe that there is no such thing as too much of a good thing. When it comes to web advertising this is definitely not the case, in fact it can be a very, very bad thing. If you can’t meet the growing needs of your customers, it does not matter how many people visit your web site, since you will most likely loose these new customers and potentially your existing customers as well. In short, too many new customers could cripple your business if you are not ready for them, and could even cause your business to go under.
If you have a small business, and you are working hard to improve your web sites rankings in various search engine results lists, this may sound contradictory to your current goals. The reality of the situation is, though, that if your web site were to suddenly be on the top of the list, for every relevant search on all of the major search engines, it is very likely that your business would not be able to handle the increased demands. In the end it is more important to make sure you are meeting the needs of your existing customers, and slowly grow your business, then to attract as many new customers as possible.
So manage your internet Marketing, just like you would any other aspect of your business, and you will find that you need to accept growth in steps and that there is such a thing as too much good advertising.

Future Book Betting Pitfalls And How To Avoid Them
Betting on sports ‘futures’ is an enjoyable and potentially profitable way to wager, but there are several potential risks that can lead to losses. Here’s a rundown of things to avoid:
Don’t bet at the first place you look: In other words, shop around for the best price. This is essential to all aspects of sports betting, but especially important with futures wagers. You’ll find more disparity between prices from book to book on futures than any other betting proposition. From a theoretical standpoint, a little work can yield much better value. From a practical standpoint, that means a higher payout should you win. The reason for this is that individual sportsbooks’ aren’t as worried about what the other guys are doing as they are with most other bets. Once the futures “market” is set books move the lines almost exclusively on their own financial position. The market simply doesn’t respond as quickly to futures wagers as it does to individual game lines so it is essential to do the extra work to get the best price on your proposition.
In a competitive field, don’t obsess with picking the winner: This may sound like a strange concept, but once you understand the theory behind it it makes perfect sense. In a large field–the NCAA basketball tournament is a perfect example–the top few favorites are invariably priced at odds that are less than the ‘true odds’ of them winning. On the other hand, there are always teams that fly ‘under the radar’ available at higher prices that present a betting overlay.
In more theoretical terms, the ‘true odds’ of a Duke or similar top team winning the tournament are almost always higher than the price offered. Think of it this way–say we’re betting Duke to win the national title at 2/1. This means that the Blue Devils would have to win more than 33% of the time to break even. So lets say, for the sake of argument, that we could play the tournament over 100 times. Would Duke come out on top more than 33 of these times? If not, they represent a poor value. Let’s say that they win 30 of 100 times. This means that any price under +333 or thereabouts is a poor wagering value.
Note that the more competitive the market, the more difficult it is to find good value on the favorites. Since you can make a case for quite a few teams to win the NCAA tournament at this point this particular futures market is clearly a very competitive one. In a less competitive marketplace it might be possible to “pick the winner” and have it be a good value though you will pay a price for this. Here’s a (thankfully) hypothetical example: let’s say the UFC decided to hold a one night round robin tournament with 5 competitors. Competitor #1 would be heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar. The other four competitors would be professional figure skaters Elvis Stojko, Rudy Gallindo, Brian Boitano and Evgeni Plushinko. Even if he didn’t bring his “A game”, Lesnar would be essentially have a 100% certainty of beating the four untrained fighters, who also happen to be rather effeminate. If a sportsbook installed Lesnar as a -1000 favorite a bet on the 63 265 pound takedown would still be theoretically a good value. It’s always difficult to risk so much to win a little, but from a strictly theoretical standpoint its a good play.
Don’t go for the big killing: Sports wagering is not a good arena in which to make a ‘big killing’. It may happen from time to time, but it is extremely rare. A perennial doormat can come out of nowhere to win a championship at a big price, but the fact that it happens from time to time doesn’t make it a good value. If you’re a recreational player and want to throw a few dollars at a big long shot, no real harm. If you aspire to any degree of seriousness as a sports better, however, you need to maintain your discipline and commitment to value at all times. If you want to hit a big jackpot play the lottery or the slot machines, but don’t try to do it in a sports betting paradigm.
Simply stated, the concept of value works the same at the bottom of the wagering ladder as it does at the top. Even if you’re betting a big underdog at a huge price make sure that it accurately reflects the ‘true odds’ of the event occurring.
Don’t bet one-sided futures or propositions: Though many of these are not futures per se, a lot of sportsbooks offer silly propositions on nonsport events as a way to get publicity, or just to be funny. Its important to make a distinction between this type of silly bet and more realistic nonsport propositions which frequently present good wagering value. Im talking the really outlandish stuff here. Not too long ago, a sportsbook posted a line on Martians landing on earth and painting the White House red by the end of the year. The “YES” was +2500 or thereabouts, which is far from reflective of the “true odds” of this unlikely event. Even if you’re the type that collects classic Art Bell shows on tape and believes in UFOs you wouldn’t place the probability of this happening at more than a fraction of a percent. The book only offered the “YES” side of the proposition, meaning that you couldn’t lay even a huge price on the more likely outcome. Another book had a futures offering for what would happen first with Ashton Kutcher, Demi Moore and Bruce Willis. All of the options were very unlikely–Ashton and Bruce fighting on PPV and my favorite–and the longest odds–Ashton, Bruce and Demi hopping in bed together and releasing a porno video documenting the event. You’d receive a sizable payback if any of the events ever transpired, but I’m not exactly sure how to compute the “true odds” on “when pigs fly.

Finding Your Way Around Through The Internet
Google Earth is an amazing piece of software that allows users to see almost real time images of any location, both in the United States and abroad. For those new to Google Earth, the most common thing searched for is an image of their home, followed by images of famous locations or landmarks throughout the world. Google Earth is a great, fun tool, that not only helps people get more connected with their planet, but also educates as well.
Google Earth provides much more than this, it also provides much need information to emergency service workers throughout the United States and the world. It helps them quickly locate destinations that might otherwise be beyond their scope and in a very effective way that allows them to specify their searches to things like abandon buildings in a suspect region or can help to find travelers who have lost their way or become injured in desolate regions.
You might believe that only the larger regions are using Google Earth to assist them in providing emergency services to their local areas, however even small towns are beginning to use this tool to enhance response times and rescue efforts. It can be enhanced to show firefighters real time views of fires in progress to let them see the best angle of approach to the situation. Crucial decisions can be made using this tool when time is of the essence and the plan of attack is not clear. These days more emergency response teams are relying on this advanced technology to make better decisions and to save more lives.
While Google Earth does not provide images in true real time, the images are refreshed so frequently that it is close enough to assist emergency services departments everywhere. In addition to the information available to the average Google Earth users, emergency services personnel also receive additional features that are not available to the general public.
Google is always on the cutting edge, delivering new products that serve its users in many different ways. If you are looking for information on the internet, a specific tool to help you figure something out, or just something fun to do, Google can provide you with what you are looking for.

2008 SEC Championship: Gators Top Tide
The Florida Gators rampage through the SEC reached its culmination with a 31-20 victory over #1 ranked Alabama in the conference championship game. The Gators scored– 4th quarter points to secure victory in a contest that was an epic struggle for three quarters with five lead changes and two ties. This victory set the stage for the Gators’ appearance in the National Championship Game.
The Gators struck first, taking a 7-0 lead on a three yard Tim Tebow TD pass to Carl Moore. The Crimson Tide quickly answered, tying the score on an eighteen yard run by Glen Coffee and taking their first lead of the game at 10-7 several minutes later on a 30 yard FG by Leigh Tiffin. Florida came right back in the second quarter, tying the game on a Jonathan Phillips’ yard FG and taking a 17-10 lead into the halftime break on another Tebow TD pass, this one to David Nelson from five yards out. Alabama regained control in the third quarter, tying the score on a 2 yard Mark Ingram touchdown run and then regaining the lead at 20-17 in the final seconds of the period on another Tiffin field goal. Florida put them away for good in the fourth, however, on a 1 yard Jeffrey Demps TD run followed by Tebows third touchdown strike of the day.
Junior quarterback Tim Tebow was the big star for the Gators. The junior QB had 216 yards passing with 3 TDs and no interceptions plus fifty seven yards on the ground. Florida head coach Urban Meyer praised Tebow effusively in his post game comments:
“I’ve had some great players, and I’ve got some great players on this team. But I’ve never had one like this. Tim’s got something special inside him. I’m not talking about throwing. I’m not talking about running. I’m talking about making everyone around him better. That fourth quarter was vintage Tim Tebow.
Alabama coach Nick Saban concurred:
“He’s a great competitor. He takes his teammates on his shoulders a lot. They have a lot of confidence he’s going to make plays, and they play that way. They scored two touchdowns where we had them covered about as well as we could cover them.”
According to cornerback Joe Haden the football world underestimated the Gators’ toughness:
“Our team is a tough team. The only reason they look past our toughness is our speed. They said we were a speed team and they were a tough team. We’re just as tough. We can still be pretty and fast and tough at the same time.”
While Crimson Tide fans were no doubt disappointed by their late season loss, some perspective is necessary: the team was only two years removed from a 6-7 record in their last year under Mike Shula. In only two years at the helm, Nick Saban has amassed a’-7 record at Alabama with no signs of slowing down.

Raiders Stun Eagles For Second Win Of NFL Season
The Oakland Raiders scored the only touchdown of the game in the first quarter and then prevailed in the kicking duel that followed en route to a–9 upset of the visiting Philadelphia Eagles. Much maligned quarterback Jamarcus Russell played his best game of the season despite two interceptions, throwing for 224 yards and a touchdown.
NFL betting enthusiasts who backed the Raiders as a whopping +14 home underdog were never in any trouble as Oakland took the lead late in the first quarter and never relinquished it. Oakland evened their mark against the NFL pointspread at 3-3, while the Eagles dropped to 3-2 against the number.
After the victory, Raiders’ coach Tom Cable said for the first time all season his team focused their intensity in the right direction:
“We went out and threw a fight on somebody and said, ‘Enough. Let’s play. That’s all you can say. There’s no magic words or anything like that.”
Last week’s 44-7 loss to the New York Giants may have served a wakeup call to the Raiders. In particular, they were offended by comments made by Giants’ linebacker Antonio Pierce that the game ‘felt like playing a scrimmage’. Raiders’ wide receiver Louis Murphy didn’t dispute the comments but instead took them to heart:
“That gave me extra fuel. You have to look yourself in the mirror and man up. His comments were true. We played flat. We didn’t play with any emotion. This game was totally different. We took those comments to heart.”
The Raiders’ defense received the bulk of the credit for the victory as they pressured Donovan McNabb all day, sacking him six times. The Eagles became the first team in three years to not score an offensive touchdown against the Raiders. Richard Seymour and Trevor Scott each had a pair of sacks, and Scott had the following observation:
“I’m sure they watched the Giants game and thought we were sorry. But all week coach Cable talked about persevering and forget the past and move forward so we can get to where we want to go.”
After the game, McNabb had little to say:
“I’m embarrassed by the way we came out here and played. We’re a much better football team.”
The Raiders will try to put together an actual winning streak as they host the New York Jets next Sunday. Oakland is a +7 home underdog with the total set at 35. They’ll play their hated rivals the San Diego Chargers on the road the following Sunday before a bye week. Philadelphia will play the Redskins at Washington next Monday night. The Eagles are a -6′ road favorite with the total set at 38′. They’ll return home for games the following two Sundays against the New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys.

The Power of PPC Search Engine Internet Marketing
A significant number of high quality website traffic can be a direct result of utilizing a PPC search engine internet marketing campaign. PPC stands for “pay per click” and is a form of advertising that many people utilize in their online Marketing and promotional needs. Quite possibly the greatest advantage of using PPC search engine Internet Marketing is that you are only required to pay for visitors that actually click through to your website and not for people who simply look at your ad.
Here’s why it’s so powerful.
You are charged a set fee for ad exposure with most traditional methods of advertising. The people that view your ad may never even acting on your ad either. As a result, you may not make any money from your ad campaign. However, you still have to pay that fee, regardless of whether anyone responds to your ad or not. With pay per click marketing however, you increase the changes of generating a profitable campaign because you are only paying for people that actually respond to your ad by clicking on it. This is why you have great opportunity for drastically increased sales since your traffic will be very high quality and targeted.
The most effective form of pay per click marketing is through pay per click search engine marketing. Different web sites are shown in the search engine results every time a user searches for a new phrase. Along with the search results, several “sponsored results” will appear as well, usually on the right side of the screen. These sponsored results are examples of pay per click advertising. If the user clicks on one of the ads, the advertiser is charged a set fee. The fee greatly varies depending on the budget that advertisers set for their chosen keyword or phrase.
Some keywords cost very little to receive traffic (10 cents a click or less). Other keywords can cost an arm and a leg so to speak. There are keywords that go for as high as $25 a click. The price you pay for keywords is completely dependent upon what other advertisers are willing to pay for a keyword at a given point of time. Therefore, when considering any pay per click program, you want to consider what the average cost per click are for the top placements for your keywords and phrases.
In addition to search engine pay per click, there are also pay per click banners and pay per click web page placements. Similar to PPC search engine marketing, advertisers are only required to pay for prospects who actually click on their ad. These types of PPC results are not as high quality and targeted as using pay per click programs through search engines. A prospect is in a different state of mind when he or she types in a search word or phrase and clicks on an ad, versus visiting a web site and clicking on an ad or banner. All can work as long as you can make more money than you spend on the ad. Just understand that all pay per click marketing is not the same.

3 Tips To Help Your Online Video Marketing Beat The Competition
Got a new business product but don’t know where to start? Video marketing just might be for you. This article discusses video marketing, its advantages and a short guide on how to make a video perfect for any marketing campaign.
There are a lot of ways through which you can market your products and your services. Among these methods, the most cost-effective means is perhaps the internet. Through the internet, you can come up with every marketing campaign possible. The internet is so flexible and vast that with the right moves, it can help your business become more popular and more prominent. That being said, let me introduce you to the latest trend and possibly the most effective of all online Marketing strategies: video marketing.
— Video Marketing —
Video marketing just might be the hottest trend to date in the marketing field. The time for telling through text marketing copy has passed. Instead, it’s now time for showing and demonstrating through video clips.
If you’re not that familiar with video marketing, there’s absolutely no need for you to worry. The internet provides a lot of resources on how you can make your videos. You can learn about the tools that you need to make videos and the techniques that can make your videos work for marketing purposes. The following are some tips on how you can make video Marketing work for your business.
1. Determine where to post your videos.
First of all, you have to know where you are going to post your video marketing material. There are many choices available to you. You can place your video in your website for more interesting site content. You can also post video clips in online communities and blogs. Of course, you should not neglect to post videos in video blogging sites like YouTube.
2. Determine the video content.
The prior step will help a long way in determining the content of your video marketing materials. As a general rule, your videos must contain information that will build more interest in your business’ products and services. However, the actual and specific content will have to vary, depending on where you’re posting your videos.
For instance, videos in your website can be much more product- or service- oriented. Particularly, your videos can demonstrate how effective your product or service is. Your videos in your site can also be video testimonials from your customers. Moreover, they can be video clips about your special promotions and special updates.
Videos posted in online blogs should be more about updates, news and special promotions. They should merely inform your viewers about the latest news and induce your audience to click on the link to your site for more details.
For video blogging sites like YouTube, your video should be less product-oriented and more entertaining and creative. Your website link can be provided with the video and your products can be featured in them, but your videos must never be a simple sales pitch. You’re never going to be referred and reposted that way.
3. Identify your audience.
All along, you should keep your audience in mind. How old are your intended consumers? Who are they and where do they come from? The content of your video marketing materials will also heavily depend on the demographics of your intended recipients.
After you have done all of the abovementioned steps, all you will need to do is to make your videos and post them online. Of course, you may have to engage the services of a video server for your purposes.

Advertising Business Internet Marketing Online Tips
Here’s a few affiliate Internet marketing tips that can help you earn extra money for little effort on your part. The main reason why most people fail in affiliate Internet marketing and end up making no money online may shock you. Internet Marketing as we all know it is pretty crowded with funny people making lots of huge bombastic claims over their nonsense crappy books and stuff.
The truth is that given the same volume of traffic, you will tend to sell more with affiliate Internet marketing referring people to an appropriate affiliate product than you will trying to sell off your own product. Another affiliate Internet marketing tip is to be careful the percentage you wish to offer and examine how you will pay your affiliates. An affiliate Internet marketing tip that deserves to be mentioned is to make sure your affiliates are promoting your sales as they are supposed to be doing.
Long-copy sales letters are undoubtedly best for selling an internet marketing ebook or any other ebook for that matter. No other form of medium enjoys this kind of flexibility and ability for Internet marketing like ebooks. Being guilty of myself, I have literally spent gazillion amount of money into these Internet Marketing ebooks when I started out but only to find it later at those free-for-all ebooks directories, free membership sites or even those giveaway sites.
You get a flood of email from guru’s who have made it big in the world of internet marketing products, writing ebooks on that topic. I think I made a mistake when I proclaimed email marketing was easy, I should have said it was easier, I haven’t found anything on the Internet easy. I just offered you a simple example of how you can start an email marketing business on the Internet without spending one thin dime.
It is a so-called ‘known secret’ of successful online marketers that the lifeline of any Internet business is email marketing. This autoresponder feature is a very important element in the success of your internet marketing business. I started off my Internet business without seeing the need for email marketing.
With the increasing success of niche marketing on the internet email Marketing still is an effective internet marketing technique. Autoresponders are one of the most widely used marketing tools on the Internet. For internet marketing, blogging builds credibility for the website through the many opinions and ideas that are shared there.
As I have explained writing your own e-book and having your own e-book website is a major step up the Internet marketing ladder. One example of a good Internet marketing e-book is Google Cash by Chris Carpenter. Compiling a list of subscribers and sending them quality information is a very effective internet marketing technique.
Some Internet marketing e-books are made using special software, such as Adobe Acrobat or the common pdf files. Ebooks are considered to be the “perfect” online Marketing tool. To use your trial version as a viral marketing tool, simply set up an affiliate program (you can learn how by visiting my webiste) and create customizable affiliate links within your free trial that will enable your affiliates to customize the links.
Internet home business owners are making millions each year due to the increasing popularity of affiliate marketing programs. The benefits of operating an internet home business include enormous profit potential, easy access to highly successful affiliate programs, and an effective means of advertising your service or product. Although most Internet Service Providers include email accounts for their customers, these accounts really aren’t adequate for a Internet business — especially if you get a large amount of email.

Build Client Commitment Through The Art Of Giving Gifts
While individual gift-giving to your loved ones is a long-standing practice, not many are aware of the culture of giving corporate gifts. Organizations show that they are thankful to their clients or employees by giving away corporate gifts.
Corporate gifts are typically costly things and they do not carry any business logo or brand name, as they are not meant for marketing or promotion. However, businesses often do promotion through distribution of small items like pens, mouse pads, dongles, and other gifts to the staff and prospective customers.
While giving a corporate gift, it is important to keep in mind the interests of the person to whom the gift is being given, and to customize it accordingly. Organizations generally like to present personalised and expensive gifts to their key customers, but to their workforce they normally give out a moderately expensive, but useful gift.
The apparent worth of a corporate gift is its most crucial aspect. It is this aspect which has the intended effect on the customer or employee, helping to build and maintain a cordial working relationship with them. Consulting in house lawyers of your organization before giving corporate gifts is a good idea, because in some place the law might forbid it.
Before purchasing corporate gifts you should prepare a budget, find out the number of gifts to be given, and try to find good deals for a bulk purchase from the dealers. The preparation is more important with respect to employee gifts, even more so if your company is a mid-sized or large entity. It is important to make sure that there are sufficient gifts to express your gratitude to every deserving employee.
Offering corporate gifts to employees and clients helps in strengthening the professional rapport, and it is a healthy business practice to follow. But don’t forget to keep the legal and financial factors in mind.
